What’s Happening in November, 2024

Bunnell Italian Festival | Youth Rock Band Showcase

We had a great time at the Bunnell Italian Festival! Our Youth Rock Band presented their showcase for the semester (which was awesome), and Rūju, Planet e Studios’ house band, played some jams as well. We also had some amazing soloists: Lindy, Faith, Cline, Marianne, Meaganne, and Sophia, who did so great performing live, with tech mishaps and all! The crowd loved seeing our students perform. We will definitely be participating in this event again, and hopefully more events like it. Shout out to Mr. Joey, Mr. Omar, Miss Hannah, and Miss Lynn who came to help and support, and to all our families who were there!

Grand Villa Senior Living Facility

Sunday, November 17th, 2pm

Don’t miss out on our upcoming Grand Villa performance on Sunday, November 17th. If you have a passion for performing and want to showcase your talent, make sure to inform your teacher or reach out to Mrs. Emily directly. These performances provide a wonderful chance to share the gift of music with the community. The residents eagerly look forward to our visits and often sing along with us, especially during the group sing-a-long at the end of each show. We are grateful for the relationships we’ve built with the residents and how our students are feeling more and more comfortable performing in front of others. If you’re unsure about performing, you are always more than welcome to come out and support, to see what it’s like and to make a new friend!

The Starlight Parade will be at Town Center this year on Saturday, December 14, 2024, in Central Park, and Planet e Studios is in it! We will be marching in the parade with Carollers to fill the air with beautiful music. The parade is NOT stationary- it starts near the round-about on Central Avenue and ends at FPC. Festivities kick off at 3pm, with entertainment, food trucks, Santa, and a variety of family-friendly activities. We’ll be there right after our Winter Recital that day. The parade starts promptly at 6 pm.

If you would like to be a caroller and sing carols with us at this event, please let us know ASAP so we can get the music to you and start going over it in lessons.

Winter Recitals 2024

Sat, December 14th & 21st

The number of students participating will determine how many shows we have and the official showtimes. Each student performs in one show. Current projection: 12:30pm & 2:30pm both Saturdays. We are working on solidifying this.

This will be our 14th recital showcase and we’re looking forward to hearing our students sing and play their hearts out, as usual!

Our recitals are free and open to the public.

For students participating in the Winter Recital, there is a $20 registration fee per student to cover costs. If a student wants to perform in multiple mediums (i.e. voice and piano, separately, or an additional duet), the registration fee is $40. This fee will be added to your November music lesson tuition.

If you or your children would like to participate in this recital, please be sure that you filled out the sign up form and are working on your recital piece(s). If you are not sure if you filled out the form, text or email us and we will confirm.

Eunju DeLura

Headshot of Eunju DeLura, Piano teacher at Planet e Studios

Mrs Eunju has been with Planet e Studios for 4 years and 1 month! She teaches piano with us Mondays thru Thursdays, and is now opening up her Fridays for even more students! Mrs Eunju is always on top of making sure her students are prepared for recital, festival, Grand Villa, and every other performance opportunity we participate in. Her students all love her and we couldn’t be more grateful to have her with us. Thank you for being a part of Planet e Studios, Eunju!

Pokémon TCG Meetup

Sunday, October 6th, 2pm – 4pm

Planet e Studios hosts Pokemon TCG Meetups on the FIRST SUNDAY OF EVERY MONTH***. With one meetup per month, we provide a focused and engaging experience for our participants. To ensure that you don’t miss out on these exciting events, we will post reminders on our Facebook and Instagram pages leading up to each meetup, so be sure to be following us to stay updated.

Our Pokemon TCG Meetups are designed to be a fun opportunity for players of all skill levels to come together, learn the game, engage in trading, and enjoy some friendly competition. We look forward to seeing you at our next meetup!

Our Music Exploration class, led by Miss Hannah, is a small group class for 3-5 year olds and their respective adult. We meet every Wednesday at 11am for an hour of musical fun.

Music explorers engage in a variety of activities with finger-plays, speaking, singing, movement, dancing, and instrumental features. Each student has access to pitched and non-pitched instruments such as the piano, xylophones, tambourines, bells and shakers of all sorts, drums, triangles, and wood sounders.

Through guided music activities and student-led learning, we explore musical elements and develop early music skills in addition to memory and brain development, hand-eye coordination, ear training, recognition and listening skills, social skills and confidence building.

NFMC Festival Program

District Festival Preparation

If you are interested in participating in the Festival Programs, you should have already let your teacher and our Music Director know so that you can begin selecting your pieces. There is a $30 registration fee to participate and for vocalists, there are accompanist fees. The registration fee will be added to your December lesson tuition.

Make-up Lessons Reminder

Make-up lessons are available on the 2nd Saturday of every month. If there is a conflict with the 2nd Saturday, like December because we have 2 weeks of recitals, we choose a different Saturday that month. December’s make-up lesson day is Saturday December 7th. The dates are always posted in the studio on the “What’s Happening” board. You can sign up with our Music Director anytime beforehand to reserve your time, if you have a lesson to make up. We will have the 2025 dates out soon.
