Sara Booth is a 2020 graduate of Stetson University, FL, in Music Performance (Piano) and Music Education. She studied with internationally renowned keyboardists like the virtuoso pianist and life-long piano educator, Dr. Michael Rickman, and organ and keyboard pedagogue Dr Boyd Jones. At Stetson, Sara studied keyboard methodology, accompaniment technic, functional keyboarding, all levels of music theory, ear training, music history, jazz history, and vocal techniques for performers. Sara has worked for Flagler United Methodist Church since 2017 to present, and she is also currently working towards her Master of Music in Organ and Sacred Music at the University of Florida.

Before attending Stetson, Sara parted from Cuba, her land of origin, to initiate an extensive international career as a solo pianist and vocal performer. She has played a variety of styles ranging from classical composers to Latin rhythms, blues, pop, and jazz. Sara has performed in  places like Dubai, (UAE) Astana (Kazakhstan), Phnom Penh, Siem Reap (Cambodia), among others venues. Despite her busy schedule with daily presentations at different venues, she always found time for teaching and spreading her knowledge and her love for music.

Sara Booth’s mission is to teach great musical habits to students that help them progress towards their destiny as exceptional musicians. More importantly, Sara aims to give all students the opportunity to  experience music in a fun and positive way, so they can express themselves and discover the world through music making, while giving them the tools to cultivate their love for music throughout their lifetime. 

Her teaching style is centered in the development of the whole child, laying the foundation for solid music theory and piano skills, and a wide use of creative aspects such as improvisation and composition. During lessons, she likes using fun games to develop creativity and keyboard skills, and to spark curiosity and eagerness to learn more about the beautiful artistry of music in young minds.
