Nurturing Music Excellence for Budding Musicians
Welcome to our Music Enrichment Class, a one-of-a-kind experience for children aged 6-10. Led by the incredible Mr. John, this intimate small group class of just 10 students ensures a personalized and engaging experience that nurtures your child’s musical growth. Our innovative and fun approach to music education fosters essential skills while encouraging collaboration. Students of different grade levels can advance at their own rate of progress. Young students will have an opportunity to grow musically as older students begin to master basic skills.

What Makes Our Music Enrichment Class Special?
We will start with the basics- rhythm and melody- and more concepts will follow as the group demonstrates progress. Student musicians will be monitored and assessed by overall observation in comprehension of concepts, performance skills & musicianship. An informal assessment checklist will be used to track the class and individual progress of students.
A variety of methods, musical styles and instruments will ensure a fun and comfortable environment. Students will have access to keyboards, shakers, drums, ukuleles, guitars, xylophones, boomwhackers, and more. At the end of each cycle, a short performance will showcase the musicians and their accomplishments. A successful performance will depend on class attendance, cooperation and a little practice.

Meet The Teacher
John Csorba
John Csorba is a seasoned music educator with over 35 years of experience teaching a wide range of age groups in both public and private school settings. His diverse accomplishments include directing ensembles that performed at prestigious venues such as Lincoln Center and leading successful choral groups such as the Park Slope School chorus. John’s expertise lies in percussion, drum set, and non-pitched percussion instruments, as well as piano and various classroom instruments.
Throughout his career, John has shared his passion for music with students, helping them appreciate different genres and develop their own skills. He holds a B.A. in Music and a Master’s Degree in Education, continuing to actively perform in the St. Augustine area. John’s lifelong commitment to music began with private drum lessons at the age of ten, leading to his pursuit of music education in 1985, a journey that shows no signs of slowing down.
