We hope this message finds you humming a familiar tune and feeling the rhythm of spring all around you. It’s been such a joy watching your children light up through music this year — those little breakthroughs and big smiles make every day brighter for us. Here’s your monthly roundup of happenings, achievements, and opportunities to keep the melody going strong.

Showcase Spotlight: Italian Festival, April 4th!

This Saturday, April 4th, we’re excited to return to the 2nd Annual Italian Festival at the Flagler County Fairgrounds (150 Sawgrass Rd, Bunnell, FL).
Come for the delicious food, family fun, and vibrant atmosphere — and stay to enjoy live performances from our talented Planet e Studios students and teachers!

4:00pm– Youth Rock Band, “The Undetermined”
4:30pm– Musical Theatre Class, “First Act”
5:00pm– Youth Rock Band, “Insighted”
5:30pm– Teacher Band, “Friday Morning Jam Club”
It’s a perfect chance to celebrate community, culture, and the power of live music. Our students and teachers can’t wait to show off what they’ve been working on. We’ll see you there!
Upcoming Community Performances
Mark your calendars for these exciting opportunities to cheer on our young musicians:
April 10th – Food Truck Friday on the Farm at the Florida Agricultural Museum
7900 Old Kings Rd N, Palm Coast, FL 32137
There will be an Artisan Market, Beginner Line Dancing, Kids’ Zone, Campfire & S’mores, a Civil War Lantern Tour, and live music by Planet e Studios!
Youth Rock Band, “The Undetermined” and “First Act” Musical Theatre Class kick off the entertainment from 5:30pm-6:30pm, and our Senior Youth Rock Band, “Rūju” takes on the evening shift from 8:00pm until close.
Great food trucks, fresh air, and free admission — a relaxed evening the whole family will enjoy!

May 2nd – Arbor Day Celebration in Central Park at Town Center
975 Central Ave, Palm Coast
Pick up a free tree with a food donation, explore the walk‑through butterfly tent, enjoy a special butterfly release at 11am., kids’ activities, educational booths, and of course, live entertainment!
Rūju performs in front of the fountain from 11:30am–12:30pm, after the butterfly release.
You won’t want to miss it!

May 9th – Spring Arts Festival & Garden Show in Central Park at Town Center
975 Central Ave, Palm Coast
Showcasing Crafters & Artists of Flagler County and the surrounding area, there will be Kids’ Activities, Plant Sales, Food Trucks, and you guessed it, live entertainment!
From 1pm-3pm, our Youth Rock Bands, “The Undetermined,” “Insighted,” and “Rūju” will take the stage, followed by our “Friday Morning Jam Club” Teacher Band.
Bring your family out for some spring-time community fun and enjoy music being played by your own community. It’s a win-win!


Young Musicians Competition
Semi-Final & Final Rounds:
May 2, 2026, Daytona State College
Last month, we had 32 students participate in 33 voice and piano events at the Initial Round of the Young Musicians Competition, hosted by FLAME. We’re bursting with pride over their outstanding results. 9 students received Excellent scores, 16 received Superior scores, and 8 received Perfect scores!
From here, 12 of our students are competing in the Semi-Final Round for a spot in the Finals, and 7 of our students are already on their way to the Finals. Both of these events will take place on May 2nd, at Daytona State College.
What incredible accomplishments- these achievements reflect so much dedication and growth. We can’t wait to cheer them on!
Robin Hood: The Musical
Summer Musical Theatre Camp
July 6th – July 31st

Registration for our summer musical theatre adventure is OFFICIALLY OPEN!! For ages 7–17, we have 7 out of 20 spots left for an entertaining and educational summer camp experience. Led by the talented Miss Hannah Pierce, and assisted by Miss Mackinzie Rogan, this summer’s production promises adventure, laughter, and plenty of memorable songs.
Students will have four weeks of song, story, movement, and magic, Monday–Friday, 8:30am–1pm, culminating in two joyful performances of Robin Hood: The Musical (Friday evening, July 31st & Saturday afternoon, August 1st).

Grand Villa Showcase
Sunday, April 19th, 2pm

On Sunday, April 19th at 2pm, we’ll be bringing music and smiles to the residents of Grand Villa. These heartfelt performances are always a touching and beautiful reminder of how music connects generations. Families are welcome to join us, if you’d like to watch!
Limited spots, as always — contact your teacher or our Music Director, Mrs. Emily, to sign up. If you’re in need of community service hours, each visit counts for 2 hours. These performances are a great opportunity to work on repertoire and to practice in front of a warming audience.

Youth Rock Band Showcases & Spots Available

Spots are still available in our Youth Rock Bands! This is a fantastic space for young musicians to collaborate, build skills, and rock out with peers who share their passion.
Whether your child is just starting or ready to take the next step, we invite them to register online for an audition or simply reach out to our Music Director. We’d be thrilled to welcome new voices to the band!

Teacher Spotlight: Eunju DeLura

Mrs. Eunju has been a valued member of Planet e Studios for 5 years and 9 months! As one of our veteran piano teachers, she teaches Monday through Friday. She greets each student with a warm smile, creating an encouraging and supportive environment. Mrs. Eunju helps build confidence in her students while ensuring they truly understand the music they are learning. You can even catch her singing the note names while her students play. Her genuine care and dedication shine through in every lesson, always keeping each student’s best musical interests at heart. Thank you, Mrs. Eunju, for being such an important part of Planet e Studios!
First Act Musical Theatre Class: Spots Available

Our Monday First Act: Musical Theatre Class (4:30pm–5:30pm) is buzzing with energy. The students are currently working on fun numbers from SpongeBob the Musical, Grease, and Matilda, which you’ll hear at the Italian Festival and Food Truck Friday this month!
We have spots available for ages 7-17. We’re proud to be a direct provider for Step Up For Students, so if you are a recipient, joining this amazing class is seamless.
Explore the art of combining singing with acting and dance. If you’re looking for a welcoming, creative outlet that builds confidence and performance skills, this class is a wonderful fit.

Wednesdays | 1pm-2pm
For ages 6–10, our Wednesday Music Enrichment class offers a playful, hands-on introduction to rhythm, melody, and musical exploration. It’s a gentle, joyful way for younger children to discover their love of music.
Spots are open. This small group class is ideal for students wanting to learn the foundations of music. We’d love to see your child finding their musical voice in this nurturing environment.

Step Up for Students Recipients
Submit funds by the 1st of every month on EMA Portal
A quick, friendly note for our Step Up families: please keep those EMA Portal payments current. It helps everything run smoothly so that we can focus our energy on the teaching and not the chasing. If there are 5 Mondays in a month, submit 5 lessons for that month. If there are 4 Thursdays in a month, submit 4 lessons for that month.
Be sure to submit lessons BEFORE the start of a month. We appreciate your diligence!!
Step Up for Students Recipients
Make-up Lesson Days fall on the second Saturday of most months (or an alternate Saturday, if needed). Check the “What’s Happening” board in the studio, or the TV announcements in the lobby, and these newsletters for the full year list of Make-up dates. For April, our Make-up Lesson Day is Saturday , April 11th. Message the business line to sign up and reserve a spot.
