NFMC State Festival
Friday & Saturday, May 9-10, 2025
Planet e Studios has 18 students going to the Florida Federation of Music Club’s State Festival, also known as Junior Convention. This year’s Junior Convention is Friday and Saturday, May 9th and 10th, in Tampa, at the University of South Florida’s School of Music. This is a highly competitive event with only one winner in each category, and up to two Honorable Mentions. Our students are competing in voice, piano, snare drum, and sight-playing. We are proud to have you all representing our studio. We wish you all the best of luck and are cheering you all on!
Summer Recital
Saturday, June 14th & June 21st, 2025
It’s time to start thinking about Summer Recital. Recitals are incredible opportunities for our students to set goals and achieve them, while expressing and sharing our love for music with one another and the community.
The number of students participating will determine how many shows we have, and the official showtimes. Each student performs in one show. Our current projection is two shows both Saturdays, at 12:30pm & 2:30pm. We will have this solidified by May 15th, as long as everyone registers by May 1st.
This will be our 15th recital showcase and we’re looking forward to hearing our students sing and play their hearts out, as usual!
Our recitals are free and open to the public.
For students participating in the Summer Recital, there is a $20 registration fee per student to cover costs. If a student wants to perform in multiple mediums (i.e. voice and piano, separately, or an additional duet), the registration fee is $40.
If you or your child(ren) would like to participate, please register by May 1st, by clicking below, AND let your teacher know so that you can begin choosing your performance piece!
Summer Musical Theater Camp
Monday, July 7th – Friday, August 1st, 2025
We are embarking on a full musical theater production this summer! Planet e Studios is looking for 15-20 Musical Theater lovers for a 4 week Musical Theater Camp, led by Miss Hannah! The plan is to spend 4 incredibly fun theatrical weeks from 9am-1:30pm, working on The Big Bad Musical: A Courthouse Comedy, followed by performances Friday, August 1st, and Saturday, August 2nd.
“The Big Bad Musical” is a hilarious, courtroom-set musical where the Big Bad Wolf is slapped with a class-action lawsuit by fairy tale characters who want to get even: Little Red Riding Hood, her Grandmother, the Three Little Pigs, and the Shepherd in charge of the Boy Who Cried Wolf. The audience is the jury, and the Evil Stepmother and Fairy Godmother are fiery lawyers. This musical features multiple endings, so every performance is unique.

Grand Villa Performance

Next Performance: Sunday, May 18th, 2pm
Last month’s Grand Villa gathering was a cozy and intimate affair, filled with captivating performances from our talented students. The residents enjoyed singing with us as we all sang ‘Please, Mr. Postman.’ The highlight of the day was looking out and seeing the entire room filled with smiling students and residents all talking to one another after the performances, making connections and bonding with one another. It was a magical afternoon of unity and harmony.
This month’s performance is cancelled for Easter.
If you’d like to join us for the next performance at Grand Villa on Sunday, May 18th at 2pm, be sure to let your teacher know or send a text to our Music Director. The residents have expressed how much they look forward to our visits, and we can’t wait to share more music and memories with them. As always, we thank you for your continued support of our community outreach program. These special performances allow us to spread joy and foster meaningful connections through the power of music. Josh Blanton
This month, we’re thrilled to shine the spotlight on our amazing teacher, Josh Blanton! In his first year at Planet e Studios, Josh has quickly become a student favorite with his charismatic teaching style and infectious enthusiasm for music. He’s gifted in guitar, piano, ukulele, and bass, and his dedication to learning new instruments in his free time shows his commitment to offering a diverse range of skills to his students.
Josh’s unique ability to teach and play both left- and right-handed guitar sets him apart, while his proven methods have kept every single one of his students engaged and returning all year. We’re proud to have you as part of our team, Josh, and we look forward to seeing your continued success at Planet e Studios!

Make-up Lessons Reminder
Make-up lessons are available on the 2nd Saturday of every month. If there is a conflict with the 2nd Saturday, we choose a different Saturday that month. The dates are always posted in the studio on the “What’s Happening” board. You can sign up with our Music Director anytime beforehand to reserve your time, if you have a lesson to make up.
