What’s Happening in November, 2025

Fall Arts Festival

Saturday, November 8th, 11:30am-1:30pm
Central Park at Town Center

This year, the Fall Arts Festival gave us a two hour block for entertainment, and with it, we are debuting our first ever Teacher Band! Nine of our teachers have come together to form a band, and it has been the most fun ever. We are still finalizing our name, but we will for certain announce it at the festival.

From 11:30am-1:30pm, you’ll hear the sounds of our advanced Youth Rock Band, Rūju, followed by our Teacher Band. Between these two bands, we know for a fact you’ll love the many great songs you’ll hear. Come on out and see if you can spot us all. You’ll see Mrs. Emily, Miss Heather, Miss Hannah, Miss Monica, Miss Mariannah, Mr. Steve, Mr. Aidan, Mr. Omar, and Mr. Joey.

Dress warm and bring a chair so that you can enjoy the entire show, it’s going to be a blast!

Youth Rock Band Showcase & New Bands

Rusted Revolution put on a fantastic showcase last month on Saturday, October 11th. The Italian Festival was cancelled due to rain, so we held their performance at the studio. It was a full house! This band had so many supporters come out that the room was full AND people were peeking in through the doorway. How amazing! These young musicians put in the work, and their songs sounded great; especially the song they wrote together.

Auditions for our newest set of rockers took place last month, and we now have THREE Youth Rock Band groups! The coolest part about this is that they are all in different stages of their musical journey too; our youngest band is 9-11 years old, our middle band is 13-15 years old, leading up to our advanced group of high schoolers, Rūju.

Stay tuned because these kids are seriously ready to shred. Rūju gigs regularly and you can hear them yourself Saturday, November 8th at 11:30am at the Fall Arts Festival in Town Center. We will be setting up all the Youth Rock Bands with all sorts of performance opportunities starting in the new year, and if you have any events that could use live entertainment, let us know!

Recitals are incredible opportunities for our students to set goals and achieve them, while expressing and sharing our love for music with one another and the community.

Each student performs in one show, on one Saturday.

The number of students participating will determine how many shows we have and the official showtimes.

Current projection: 12:30pm & 2:30pm, both Saturdays. We will have this solidified by November 15th.

This will be our 16th recital showcase and we’re looking forward to hearing our students sing and play their hearts out, as usual!

Our recitals are free and open to the public.

For students participating in the Summer Recital, there is a $20 registration fee per student to cover costs. If a student wants to perform in multiple mediums (i.e. voice and piano, separately, or an additional duet), the registration fee is $40.

If participating, register now and tell your teacher ASAP, so that you can start practicing your performance piece(s)!

First Act: Musical Theatre

December 14th at Fantasy Lights
December 21st at Grand Villa

Our First Act Musical Theatre Class is performing for the first time at Fantasy Lights, December 14th, at 7pm, in front of the big Christmas Tree at Central Park Town Center. They’ve been working on their holiday spirit and will be showing off what they’ve learned so far. They will also be leading Christmas carols in front of the tree.

In addition to Fantasy Lights, First Act will be performing at Grand Villa Senior Living Facility for the residents at our December 21st visit, at 2pm.

Since starting this class just a couple months ago, these students have already shown such growth in their confidence and their skills. They are learning how to work together as a group and how to also sound out while feeling comfortable doing so. We are definitely excited to see and hear what these musical theater kids have been working on.

There are THREE openings for our Mondays 4:30pm-5:30pm class. Message or email us to get involved!

Young Musicians Competition

Florida Arts & Music Enrichment (FLAME)
Registration Fee due December 10th, 2025

Just a friendly reminder to all students participating in the Young Musicians Competition- practice your two selections! You should have two contrasting pieces, chosen by two different composers.

We have solidified adjudication with Flagler College for our Initial Round, which is very exciting. One of the best parts about where we live is that there are several opportunities within reach that students just may not know about. One such example is Flagler College. They have Music and Musical Theater Programs filled with incredible professors, students, and productions. Having their professors judge this competition is an honor and a great bridge to open doors for our local students.

Young Musicians Competition Date: Saturday, March 7, 2026

National Anthem Singers

Last month, Planet e Studios was invited to open the Flagler County Cultural Council’s Annual Meeting. Faith Liebel sang the National Anthem beautifully for them! We love being able to send students to perform at different events like this. Singing the National Anthem is a great privilege that students should be able to experience, if given the opportunity.

After Faith sang, a member from a different organization stopped her and asked her to sing the National Anthem at their event as well! So, three weeks later, Faith sang at the 50th Anniversary of the Garden Club at Palm Coast. If you are interested in singing the National Anthem for events in the future, let us know so that when we are asked, we can reach out to you.

Grand Villa Performance

December 21st, 2pm

Grand Villa has a conflict in November so we won’t be back to visit until December 21st. At this December visit, we’ll wear festive attire, we’ll have solo performances, and as a group we’ll sing carols with the residents too. It’ll be a lovely end to our 2025 visits with Grand Villa Senior Living Facility. Make sure to let your teacher know if you’d like to participate!

Teacher Spotlight

Joey Hefferon

Mr. Joey has been with Planet e Studios for 4 years and 2 months! With us Mondays through Fridays, Mr. Joey teaches drums, guitar, bass, ukulele, and keyboard. When he’s not teaching, you can hear him practicing and always working on sharpening his skills.

In addition to teaching, Mr. Joey loves to play. You can see him perform in Planet e Studios’ Teacher Band Sat. Nov 8th at the Fall Arts Festival! Mr. Joey is always willing to help with whatever endeavors we get into with the studio, and is a calming presence that keeps us grounded. We are grateful for the extra time and care he puts into his students and fellow teachers. Thank you for being a part of our team, Joey!

Step Up for Student Recipients

Submit funds by the 1st of every month on EMA Portal

Planet e Studios has been a proud provider for Step Up For Students since 2018. We are blessed to be able to offer this to families, especially with the EMA Portal availability. As a Direct Provider, you can find us in the Marketplace Provider Search on your EMA Portal when you search our name. You don’t need to fill in any other categories, just type our name in the search bar, press enter, and we will appear. All of our lessons and classes are available on the portal.

Once you select the lessons or classes you are purchasing, you must check out your shopping cart. It will allow you to “reserve funds” because Planet e Studios does the final submission. The lessons and classes will show as “pending” until we submit them on our end. Once we edit any lesson price adjustments to reflect monthly discounts and such, we submit them and the funds are then deducted from the recipient’s account.

Make-up Lessons Reminder

Make-up lessons are available on the 2nd Saturday of every month. If there is a conflict with the 2nd Saturday, we choose a different Saturday that month. For example, in November, due to our participating in the Fall Festival, our make-up lesson day will be the third Saturday, November 15th. The dates are always posted in the studio on the “What’s Happening” board. You can sign up with our Music Director anytime beforehand to reserve your time, if you have a lesson to make up.
