What’s Happening in December, 2024

Fantasy Lights at Town Center

Saturday, December 7th @ 6:30pm

The 19th Annual Fantasy Lights Festival is back at Town Center, and Planet e Studios is participating! All students are invited to join us and sing Christmas carols, and our Youth Rock Band Program will perform a piece too. Arrival is 6:30pm and we’ll start singing at 7pm.

If you’re interested in joining our caroling group for this event, please message us asap at 386.242.4014 so that we can add you to our list and send you the songs we’ll be singing. There will be binders with all the lyrics for everyone to use.

Winter Recitals 2024

Saturday, December 14th & 21st

We have 85 students performing in our Winter Recital this season! There are four shows: two on Saturday, December 14th, and two on Saturday, December 21st. Both days, our shows are at 12:30pm and 2:30pm, at Palm Coast Bible Church. Each recital show has different students performing.

This will be our 14th recital showcase and we’re looking forward to hearing our students sing and play their hearts out, as usual!

Our recitals are free and open to the public. There is no guest limit or admission fee. We encourage you to come out and see these talented musicians, especially if you’re considering participating in the future. Each show is approximately one hour and 30min long, we do ask that you please stay through the final performer to support all of our students. See you there!

Starlight Parade

Saturday, December 14th @ 6:00pm

This year’s Starlight Parade will take place at Town Center’s Central Park, beginning at 6:00 PM. Planet e Studios is proud to join the festivities by marching with our carolers, spreading holiday cheer through song.

The parade route begins near the Central Avenue roundabout and concludes at FPC. Pre-parade festivities kick off at 3:00 PM, featuring live entertainment, food trucks, Santa, and a variety of family-friendly activities.

If you’d like to join our caroling marching group, please let us know as soon as possible so we can provide the music and incorporate it into your lessons. We will have binders with the lyrics for all the songs available at the parade too.

Grand Villa Senior Living Facility

Cancelled for December

The Grand Villa Performance for December has been cancelled due to all the other activities students and teachers are involved in this month, including the recitals, fantasy lights and parade. We will be back in January.

Don’t miss your chance to shine at our upcoming performance at Grand Villa! If you’re eager to share your talent and passion for music, let your teacher know or reach out to Mrs. Emily directly.

These performances are a wonderful way to bring the joy of music to the community. The residents eagerly anticipate our visits, often singing along with us during the group sing-along finale, making the experience even more special.

We cherish the relationships we’ve built with the residents and are proud of how these performances help our students grow in confidence and stage presence.

Not quite ready to perform? No problem! Come support the event, soak in the atmosphere, and maybe even make a new connection. We’d love to have you there!

NFMC Festival Program

District Festival Preparation

Planet e Studios has 41 students registering for the Festival Program this year, in voice, piano, and snare drum. On Saturday, February 15, 2025, each student will perform two pieces for a music judge and will receive a rating on their performance. Whoever receives a “Superior” rating can then go on to State Festival at USF in Tampa, in May 2025.

Make-up Lessons Reminder

Make-up lessons are available on the 2nd Saturday of every month. If there is a conflict with the 2nd Saturday, like December because we have 2 weeks of recitals, we choose a different Saturday that month. December’s make-up lesson day is Saturday December 7th. The dates are always posted in the studio on the “What’s Happening” board. You can sign up with our Music Director anytime beforehand to reserve your time, if you have a lesson to make up. We will have the 2025 dates out soon.
