First Act: Musical Theatre

Starting Monday, Sept. 8th | 4:30pm-5:30pm

We’re thrilled to invite your children to dive into the magical world of musical theatre with our brand new weekly program: First Act! Starting September 8th, these one-hour sessions will be held every Monday at Planet e Studios, from 4:30pm-5:30pm, offering young performers a captivating journey of self-expression and artistic growth.

Under the guidance of the highly-skilled and experienced Miss Hannah, participants will explore their love for theatre and music in a supportive and engaging environment. With a BA in Theatre and concentrations in Music and Philosophy from Flagler College, Miss Hannah brings over seven years of teaching experience from esteemed organizations such as the Limelight Theatre and the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind.

Your children will have the chance to develop their talents, learn essential stage skills, and showcase their abilities in recitals and public events. Starting with fundamental techniques like stage presence and diction, students will progress to more advanced concepts such as emotional expression and improvisation, while incorporating choreography and song into their performances.

National Arts in Education Week

Saturday, September 13th, 5pm-7pm

Board members declaring National Arts in Education Week, celebrating the transformative power of arts in education.

Celebrate National Arts in Education Week with us from September 13th! Join us at The Fitzgerald Performing Arts Center for an exciting event featuring Under the Big Top: Cirque Du Canines, presented by The Flagler Cultural Council (free for kids under 12). We will have a booth and there will be a live performance by our Senior Youth Rock Band, Rūju. This event is open to the public, so bring your friends and family to enjoy a fun-filled evening of arts education and entertainment.

You’ll also have the opportunity to meet arts education programs in drama, music, and dance, with giveaways, and delicious eats throughout the day. Proceeds from the event will benefit The Flagler Cultural Council, supporting their mission to promote and strengthen the arts in the community.

Young Musicians Competition

Florida Arts & Music Enrichment (FLAME)

Welcome to the Young Musicians Competition! Presented by FLAME (Florida Arts & Music Enrichment), this is a performance-based event for student musicians ages 6–18. Designed to support growth and artistry at every stage, the competition features three age divisions—Young Musicians (6–9), Growing Musicians (10–13), and Maturing Musicians (14–18)—with four performance levels, ranging from Emerging to Refined.

Each participant performs two contrasting selections for a professional adjudicator and receives feedback through a comprehensive rubric highlighting Tone & Sound Quality, Accuracy, Technique, Musical Expression, and Stage Presence.

More than a competition, this event gives students the opportunity to refine their skills, grow as performers, and gain meaningful guidance to continue their musical journey.

If you are interested in participating in this competition, let your teacher and our Music Director know ASAP so that you can begin selecting your pieces!

Teacher Spotlight

Aidan Sybrandy

Mr Aidan joined our team just four months ago, and has become an instant hit with our students and studio. Teaching drums, guitar, bass, and ukulele lessons on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, Mr. Aidan is definitely an asset to our music community.

Born in San Diego, he discovered his passion for music at six years old, and has since expanded his skills to include bass, guitar, piano, composition, and recording.

With years of performance, studio, and teaching experience, Aidan brings a wealth of expertise to his lessons and is dedicated to sharing his love for music with his students. We are excited to have Aidan right here in Flagler County, where he can inspire and mentor our aspiring musicians.

Get ready to unleash your inner rockstar! Our Youth Rock Band Fall Semester auditions are coming soon, and we want you to be a part of this incredible program. Audition for the chance to grow as a musician, perform with talented peers, and create lifelong memories.

During our 12-week program, you’ll learn various rock instruments, compose your own music, and explore different styles. Challenge yourself by trying new instruments or singing while forging strong bonds with bandmates. The semester will culminate in a thrilling public showcase where you can share your achievements.

For just $275 per semester ($240 for current students) and a one-time $25 registration fee for new students, you’ll enjoy weekly hour-long sessions with expert instructors and passionate musicians.

Held on the first Sunday of every month at Planet e Studios, these meetups provide a fun and inclusive space for trainers of all levels to connect, trade cards, and learn new strategies in a vibrant Pokécommunity.

Our family-friendly events are open to everyone, whether you’re a young trainer just beginning your journey or a parent eager to join in on the excitement. New to the game or don’t have your own deck? Don’t worry! Our friendly community will show you the ropes and provide decks for you to borrow and play with.

Make-up Lessons Reminder

Make-up lessons are available on the 2nd Saturday of every month. If there is a conflict with the 2nd Saturday, we choose a different Saturday that month. For example, in November, due to our participating in the Fall Festival, our make-up lesson day will be the third Saturday, November 15th. The dates are always posted in the studio on the “What’s Happening” board. You can sign up with our Music Director anytime beforehand to reserve your time, if you have a lesson to make up.
